Brandywine Gordon Setter Club is happy to host our Fun Field Day this year during the spring. KRISTEEN DAVIDSON-CHRISTMAN plans on giving us the basics in field work as well as introducing our Setters to birds. There will be live birds for the dogs to experience and hunt. This is all very basic, so please bring the young, the old and the inbetween. You do not have to have your dog off lead at any time. We do need a head count on dogs before hand so we know how many birds to purchase. Please contact JOHANNA TOWNSEND at jmallar15@aol.com, by APRIL 1, 2010 so we can order the appropriate amount of birds. Please pass the word to anyone you know who might be interested…all are invited, just need a head count!

Please remember to dress warmly in old clothing. The clubhouse is damp and chilly. If you are planning on giving bird work a try, please wear boots. We will be working the dogs in tall grass and brush and springtime weather will leave everything damp and wet.

SUE SCOVIL is planning a luncheon, so please contact her at 610-737-2098 or sswindcrest1@aol.com if you can bring a dish. The clubhouse has electric for crockpots etc. There are indoor restrooms.

We are also planning a general membership meeting for the Brandywine Gordon Setter Club followed by a board of directors meeting. Please plan to attend and learn about all the upcoming activities we have planned.

Directions from Allentown: Take Route 309 South. Travel through Quakertown. Take Rt. 563 (Perkasie). At the end of the exit ramp, turn RIGHT. Travel to the traffic light and turn LEFT. You are now on Ridge Rd/Rt 563. Travel approximately ½ mile. James Memorial Twp. Park will be on your right hand side. Immediately after the park, turn RIGHT onto Hafler Road. Continue on Hafler Road to the club’s parking lot at the end.

Directions from the Pa. Turnpike (East/West): Exit at Fort Washington/Rt 309. Take Route 309 North. Continue for approximately 15 +/- miles. Take Route 563 (Perkasie). At the end of the exit ramp, turn LEFT. Travel approximately 1/10th mile, turn LEFT onto Ridge Rd/Rt 563. Travel approximately ½ mile. James Memorial Twp. Park will be on your right hand side. Immediately after the park, turn RIGHT onto Hafler Road. Continue on Hafler Road to the club’s parking lot at the end.
